Memphis Oliver-Murphy (aka Memphy) is a Harlem-born, New York City-based DJ and model that Highsnobiety recently declared as “fashion’s new it-girl” on their fashion week cover. In the last few years, she’s modeled for prestigious brands such as Savage x Fenty, Hood by Air, Dion Lee, and Mugler, and has been featured in French Vogue alongside Beyoncé in her campaign with Balmain. And as an in-demand DJ, she’s been on bills with favorites like Bearcat, Bapari, and Goth Jafar, and she’s performed everywhere from Madonna's Pride party at Terminal 5 to Intima at the Market Hotel and Bossa Nova Civic Club. Lucky for us, Memphis is here to tell us what she’s been into.

Korean food is just so good. Ever since I was a young teen I have always loved the ritual of the waiters bringing out the meats for me and my friends to cook while chatting and drinking beer. There's literally something so personal about cooking the food the way you like it and sharing it with your friends and family. Im so lucky now that my boyfriend is Korean and I get to experience his moms amazing cooking. Lets not forget about the Kimchi!
