Cool people like cool things, which is why we asked Edy Modica to share a taste of her taste on Perfectly Imperfect.

Edy Modica is New York City-based actor, comedian, writer, and podcaster, best known for her role as Jeannie on the hit TV show from earlier this year, Jury Duty. For this unfamiliar, this psychotic but hilarious show follows a jury duty case where every single person involved is an actor & in on the bit except for one guy, Ronald Gladden. She’s also appeared on another cult favorite of mine, High Maintenance on HBO, has released a few short films such as Nicole, and hosts a podcast she describes as “disturbing” called Last Friday Night that she hosts with Brian Fiddyment and Rick Swenson. Edy is performing her show CUM ONE CUM ALL at New York Comedy Festival on November 12th so snag your ticket now! Lucky for us, Edy is here to tell us what she’s been into.

Without further ado

👛 telling people where shit is from and how much it was when they compliment you

When i tell someone “omg i love you’re thing”…i want to know how much the fuck it was and where the fuck you got it. Be a girlie and share! Let’s work together chicas to be the cutest chicas of all time hello!!!!!!

💛 watching people drink their own piss

Watching people drink their own piss keeps me grounded in reality. Is there anything more raw or undeniable to the eye??? I do not know but I do not think so. I recommend Will Blunderfield on insta or a woman named Carrie on youtube who drinks 10 year aged piss. Both are centering for different reasons.

🧋YAYA TEA

My fave bff date day activity located at 206 Grand street, Manhattan Island. I get a large black milk bubble tea with half sweetness, a large shrimp tempura onigiri and a large japanese onigiri (kani crab, egg, seaweed salad). Wow…and you can walk over the williamsburg bridge and stroll…possibly hand in hand with a lover or friend…take it to the little park near there idk sit on a stoop…lovely and divine!!!

🫂 Psychology in Seattle Podcast

this is my favorite podcast!!! psychologists and best friends dr. kirk honda and humberto castaneda analyze people and happenings and ways of the world from a place of love and empathy while sharing their own shortcomings. they’re the educators but they’re also open to change and it’s inspiring! once you’ve listened to a few and you understand their relationship, i highly recommend listening to the episode Kirk and Humberto fight and cry. basically the hosts get in a big fight on air then they go back and analyze it and it’s just a perfect distillation of real love and friendship and trying to understand each other. :)

🛥️ the channing tatum sailor tap scene in Hail Caesar

musical numbers make me so emotional lol. they  make me feel so happy for the performers like i can’t stop thinking about how much work and raw talent it took them to make it and how proud they must be!!! i didn’t even really love this movie but i always think of this scene…channing TATUM!!!!! he’s so GOOD!!!!! and committed!!!! it feels so good to see a scene that people had to work hard on and it’s beautiful and delightful and FUNNY……simply inspiring….
