#313: Lucy Bull
Lucy Bull on Vish Velandy’s Perfectly Imperfect, Susumu Yokota, Hoka Bondi Sr Sneakers, and more.
Cool people like cool things, which is why we asked Lucy Bull to share a taste of her taste on Perfectly Imperfect.
Lucy Bull is a New York-born, Los Angeles based painter and curator best known for her dreamlike abstract paintings. She had her first solo show in NY last fall and her next show, titled “Venus World”, opens at the Long Museum in Shanghai on June 9th. David Kordansky Gallery recently published a beautiful collection of her work from 2019-2022 that I’m currently flipping through as I write this. Bull also curates shows in unexpected places under @fromthedeskoflucybull- most recently, she presented a chandelier sculpture by Alexandra Metcalf in her Prius. Lucky for us, Lucy is here to tell us what she’s been into.
