George Clanton is a Los Angeles based musician and a co-founder of the 100% Electronica label. He cemented himself as a bonafide Vaporwave legend back in 2018 after dropping one of the best albums of the decade, “Slide”, and this year he put out an album with Nick Hexum, the singer of his favorite band (311). On New Years eve Perfectly Imperfect is co-hosting a special party at Bowery Ballroom with live performances from George, Frost Children, and Alice Longyu Gao, and a DJ set from The Dare. It’s going to be epic. Lucky for us, George is here to tell us what he’s been into.

I used to work in Manhattan as an “art handler” which means you move art around for people. One of my coworkers went on to become a successful fine artist. He mostly paints these things called “Night Car.” Its very very fun to look at. It’s fine art so basically you either understand it or you are a troglodyte. I can’t afford any of the paintings but he did make me a tiny cheeseburger as a gift one time which is just as good to me because it has a beautiful story.
