Izzy Spears is a Los Angeles-based musician whose song, “FIST”, was one of my favorites of the year. The track is a dark blend of horror rap, rock, and punk music from his 2022 EP Monstar and I can’t get enough of it. Izzy got his start in the music scene a few years ago with Anonymous Club, a collective led by designer, musician, and founder of Hood By Air, Shayne Oliver. After releasing three acclaimed singles as part of the album SCREENSAVERS VOL 1, Izzy joined Yves Tumor on a European tour. Lucky for us, Izzy is here to tell us what he’s been into.

I've had a really huge obsession with Malcolm McClaren this year. Not only did he discover the Sex Pistols and one of the pioneers of punk music, he also fuses genres like hip hop, opera and vogue music. Not to mention all the influence he had in the early Vivian Westwood, he’s definitely one of my greatest inspirations. I listen to the Fans album at least once a day.
