#181: Chloe Cherry
Chloe Cherry on Her Skincare Routine, Gumby, Making a Funny Face, and more.
Cool people like cool things, which is why we asked Chloe Cherry to share a taste of her taste on Perfectly Imperfect.
Chloe Cherry is an actress, artist, and model based in Los Angeles who launched into super stardom after debuting as Faye on the hit HBO show, Euphoria. Her distinct look and “dissociative pout” turned her into a fashion it-girl and over the last few months she walked for GDCS during Milan Fashion Week, was the face of the Versace x SSENSE campaign directed by previous PI guest Noah Dillon, and even dropped her very own “Perfect Angel Girl” merch. Cherry has impeccable taste and style so I can’t wait to see where she goes from here. Lucky for us, Chloe is here to tell us what she’s been into.

Gumby was my favorite show as a teenager. Yes a teenager. I found the entire series on YouTube and watched all of it. It’s so well done and the plots are insane. In my favorite episode Gumby and Pokie, his other clay friend that is also a horse, decide to bake a pie. Before they can even start one of the pies starts talking to him and says “come on in” so they go into the oven. They discover a pie making factory inside the oven. They learn how pies are made and then the pies turn on them. It’s a wild story and my favorite quote is “the dough needs the dough?” “No it KNEADS it.” All the episodes are strange like that. And he has more clay friends that do crazy stuff — I’m telling you this show is like nothing else.

Taking care of my skin has boosted my confidence more than anything ever has. Right now my nighttime routine is wash my face with Bobbi Brown soothing cleansing oil, curolgy, retinal, hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, the ole henrikson undereye cream, and triple antibiotic ointment. My morning routine is washing my face with Sonya Dakar gentle facial milk cleanser, spray my face with Osea sea mineral mist, Osea hyaluronic sea serum, Sonya Dakar nano hydrator moisturizer and Sonya Dakar SPF 30. If I go outside a lot I use 50 spf. I had cystic acne when I was younger and Curology really changed my skin. It completely cleared it up. I’m so grateful for it. When I was younger I tried absolutely everything. Salt water, mouth wash, that nuetrogena face wash with the micro plastics in it. Nothing really worked until Curology. I also take Tri-Sprintec birth control because it is the most effective at clearing your skin. If I have a break out I take Doxycycline which is an antibiotic that stops acne from forming. It’s been a lot of work and not easy but I’m so happy I did it. I love face masks too. My favorite is Blue Tansy from Herbivore. It’s a nice exfoliator that really changes your skin. I notice a big difference with it. I also love sheet masks. Innis Free has my favorites. They just feel so effective to me. A nice evening to me is staying in and taking care of my skin. I love to steam my face, do an exfoliating face mask, then a pore cleaning one and then a moisturizing one. Then I do an eye mask and all of my skincare steps. It feels so good and I look amazing when I wake up.
I have been watching YouTube since I was 9. I have seen all the classics. I still watch it to this day but now I watch YouTubers. I love that they just share their opinion and comment about things. I am watching Noel Miller and Cody Ko right now. They are maybe my favorite. I also really like Kurtis Connor, Drew Gooden and Danny Gonzalez. They make fun videos about random topics. They will review a poorly made movie or a new meme. It’s all so lighthearted and funny.
🤪 Making a funny face
When I’m talking to people I love making a funny face. I honestly can’t help it. It makes people laugh. It adds a lot to your story.
🎵 Mac Miller
He is my favorite artist of all time by far. He’s insane. “They say the best rappers are usually dead”. His music is so catchy in a unique way. Some of my favorite lines of his are “I kill the game like Jeffrey Dahmer did the 80s” and “young and on my grind working harder than your dad worked”. He’s so confident. I listen to his music also partly because I want to be that confident. He was so talented. My favorite album is GOOD AM. I first discovered him at like 14 and it seeped into my soul. I’ve never connected with an artist so much. He is from Pennsylvania which we have in common. We also have in common his line “leave it all behind and go to California”.
