Avery Tucker and Harmony Tividad make up Girlpool, a Los Angeles based rock band formed back in 2013. I became a fan around the time they dropped Powerplant and I’ve gotta say, they seem to be getting even better with every record. Their new one, Forgiveness, drops on April 29th on Anti- and the singles (and music videos) have all been so good, and I love their new Big Star influenced (?) neon star logo. Check out the melancholy Faultline, which has some sick single art shot by Petra Collins, or Nothing Gives Me Pleasure, a slow burning ballad backed by distorted drums. Lucky for us, they’re here to tell us what they’ve been into.

Clark street diner is a new diner that took over the 101 Coffee Shop (aka cafe 101). I grew up going to cafe 101 so it has a special place in my heart. Even though it closed, the diner that took over is really delicious and perfect for pancakes, eggs, really good coffee and pastries. I love going there and sitting at the counter.
